WCSSAA & D10 Selections - Thursday, December 17

YTD WCSSAA Senior Picks: 17-7 (.708)
YTD WCSSAA Junior Picks: 19-5 (.792)
YTD D10 Senior Picks: 24-3 (.889)

WCSSAA Senior

Eastwood (1-2) at Forest Heights (1-2)
Pick: FHCI
Line: FHCI by 12

I think the Trojans will even up their record here----at least, they had better with SJAM & KCI looming on the schedule the week after the break.

SJAM (3-0) at Bluevale (3-0) ***Game of the Day/Week***
Pick: SJAM
Line: SJAM by 5

Should be a close one at Bluevale, and homecourt edge may give the Knights the edge. However, if SJAM can continue to play like they did on Tuesday, they should be able to win this contest.

Of course, I don't think this will be the last time we see these clubs play this season.....

WCI (3-0) at Grand River (2-1)
Pick: WCI
Line: WCI by 9

I think the Vikes have a bit too much size for the Rens to handle here.

WODSS (1-2) at Cameron Hts (1-2)
Pick: Cameron
Line: CHCI by 19

The Gaels, who probably started with the toughest schedule in WCSSAA, get to even up their record today on home court.

Preston (1-2) at Huron Heights (1-2)
Pick: PHS
Line: PHS by 7

An interesting game over at Huron. I'll take the Panthers and Jeff Robinson over the up-and-coming Huskies.

KCI (2-1) at Glenview Park (0-3)
Pick: KCI
Line: KCI by 27

After three games, surprising that there's only one team in senior WCSSAA without a win --- the GPSS Panthers. Their first one definitely won't come today against the Raiders.

Jacob Hespeler (1-2) at Elmira (1-2)
Pick: JHSS
Line: JHSS by 8

I think the Hawks are better than they have shown thus far. I hope (for my picks record sake) that they get it going on the road today.

Galt (1-2) at Southwood (2-1) - 7:00pm
Pick: SSS
Line: SSS by 15

Gotta love the 7pm start time over at Southwood---should see a lot more parents, players of other teams, and hopefully fans in general at the game.

The evening game earns big points in my books so I'll say that SSS earns a double digit win here.

Junior Picks
Eastwood @ FHCI (Pick: FHCI)

SJAM @ Bluevale (Pick: SJAM)
WCI @ Grand River (Pick: Grand River)
WODSS @ Cameron (Pick: Cameron)
Preston @ Huron Hts (Pick: HHHS)
KCI @ Glenview Park (Pick: Glenview Park)
Jacob Hespeler @ EDSS (Pick: JHSS)
Galt @ Southwood (Pick: Galt)

D10 Senior Picks

Hopefully I keep up the hot streak.....

Something that caught my eye today in the D10 standings (senior) was the fact that they are a mirror image of each other.

IE - 7-0, 6-1, 5-2, 4-3, 3-4, 2-5, 1-6, 0-7.

Anyways, that won't last long because we have these 5:30pm tilts scheduled for today:

ODSS (0-7) at Bishop Mac (1-6)
Pick: BM
Line: BM by 7

ODSS came close last time against the Celtics, and this should be no different. Bishop Mac in a squeaker.

Centre Wellington (4-3) at CCVI (7-0)
Pick: CCVI
Line: CCVI by 19

I think the Spartans are back. CCVI won the last meeting by 31, and are definitely a tough matchup for CW. Centennial to roll here.

JF Ross (5-2) at Lourdes (3-4)
Pick: JFR
Line: JFR by 8

Won't be easy for the Royals over at Lourdes, but I still anticipate them prevailing in a close affair.

GCVI (2-5) at St. James (6-1)
Pick: STJ
Line: STJ by 11

After dropping their first D10 game of the year, I look for the Lions to get back in the win column before the break at home against GCVI. I also think that Ryan Higgins will make up for his 6 points against CCVI here.
