Participating teams have been announced for the 2nd annual Huron Heights/Resurrection junior boys "Husky/Phoenix" tournament. The tournament takes place January 8th and 9th (games get under way at 8:30am at both locations), however, the draw is yet to be finalized.
This is a sixteen-team "bracketed" tournament.
Current teams in my CWOSSA top 10 are bolded.
D5 (Brantford): St. John's, North Park
D8 (KWC Catholic): Resurrection, St. David, St. Benedict
WCSSAA: Huron Heights, Grand River, WCI, Cameron Heights, Galt Collegiate
D10: JF Ross
Non-CWOSSA: St. Thomas Aquinas (London), Central (Stratford), South (London), Bishop Ryan (Hamilton), Philip Pocock (Mississauga).
The defending champions of the tournament are the Guelph JF Ross Royals, who came out with hot shooting beat the Resurrection Phoenix in the finals ---- that and a loss to Brampton D'Youville were the only two losses for the 48-2 Phoenix last year.
