Thursday, December 10th WCSSAA & D10 Picks

3 games in the D10 league tomorrow, while there's a full slate of WCSSAA action.

Note - the D10 games between Lourdes & Bishop Mac (a first place showdown in the junior league) will be going on Monday.

D10 Senior: 16-3
WCSSAA Senior: 11-5
WCSSAA Junior: 13-3

D10 - Senior

Centennial (5-0) at GCVI (1-4)
My Pick: CCVI
Line: Centennial by 19

After having their last 3 games decided by 5 points or less, I hope the CCVI Spartans haven't forgotten how to win big. Regardless, they get it done downtown on Thursday.

Orangeville (0-3) at JF Ross (3-2)
My Pick: JFR
Line: Ross by 18

Ross picks up the win to solidify their hold on a top-4 spot in the league.

Centre Wellington (4-1) at St. James (5-0)
My Pick: STJ
Line: STJ by 4

These teams met in a tournament this past weekend, with CW coming through with the win. I think the Lions might be able to turn the tables at home.

JUNIOR
Centre Wellington (2-3) at St. James (3-2)
ODSS (0-5) at JF Ross (2-3)
Centennial (2-3) at GCVI (1-4)

WCSSAA - Senior

Bluevale (2-0) at Waterloo (2-0)
Pick: WCI
Line: WCI by 4

The good ol' Battle of Waterloo game, and it should be a dandy as both teams are currently sitting at the top of the standings. I'll go with the homecourt Vikes, but wouldn't be surprised to see a Bluevale win.

Cameron Hts (0-2) at Eastwood (0-2)
Pick: CHCI
Line: CHCI by 18

The records here are deceiving. Cameron is clearly (in my opinion) the better team.

Grand River (1-1) at SJAM (2-0)
Pick: SJAM
Line: SJAM by 13

After blowing out ECI, the Renegades looked rather ordinary against Forest Heights. The Highlanders should improve to 3-0, thanks in part to Jake Robinet, who should cause some matchup problems for the undersized GR squad.

Forest Hts (1-1) at WODSS (0-2)
Pick: FHCI
Line: FHCI by 24

The Crusaders might have had the toughest schedule of all to this point --- Bluevale, SJAM, and now Forest Heights. Thankfully, Elmira is in the wings on Tuesday. Trojans to win big.

Huron Hts (1-1) at Glenview Park (0-2)
Pick: HHHS
Line: HHHS by 15

Simple case of dogs ove cats? The Huskies should improve to 2-1 here at the expense of the (Glenview) Panthers.

Elmira (1-1) at Southwood (1-1)
Pick: SSS
Line: SSS by 17

After getting dumped by KCI at home, the Sabres should rebound and defeat the Lancers.

Jacob Hespeler (1-1) at Galt (1-1)
Pick: GCI
Line: GCI by 6

I actually think the Hawks might be the better team --- but they haven't quite shown it to this point in the season. I'll take the Ghosts at home in the castle.

Preston (1-1) at KCI (2-0)
Pick: KCI
Line: KCI by 15

KCI just keeps on finding ways to win. On Tuesday, Arben Kalaba was shut down and experienced some foul trouble ---- no problem, as Darnell Simpson and Tristan Ruddock stepped up with huge games. KCI should go to 3-0, which would set up a huge matchup next Tuesday with SJAM.

WCSSAA - Junior Picks
Bluevale (0-2) at WCI (2-0) Pick: WCI
Cameron (1-1) at Eastwood (0-2) Pick: CHCI
GRCI (1-1) at SJAM (2-0) Pick: SJAM
FHCI (1-1) at WODSS (1-1) Pick: FHCI
Huron Hts (2-0) at Glenview (2-0) Pick: Huron
Jacob Hespeler (1-1) at Galt (0-2) Pick: JHSS
Preston (1-1) at KCI (2-0) Pick: KCI
