In junior boys action this weekend, the Bishop Macdonell Celtics blew out Bluevale Collegiate 73-30 in the championship game of the Timmy Rose Memorial Tournament, hosted by St. David CSS in Waterloo.
Bishop Mac had their biggest challenge in the first round against Brantford St. John's (64-47). They defeated Waterloo-Oxford 88-44 in the semifinals.
Against BCI, the Celts were led by Mitchell Wood (16) and Jesse Kendall (14).
In the semfinal, Bishop Mac had a balanced scoring attack with five players scoring 9 or more points --- Ben Morris (16), Owen Brombal (12), Jesse Kendall (9), Lucas Depieri (9), and Adam Slater (9).
