Things are beginning to take shape in the NSSAA senior girls basketball league.
The Delhi Raiders grabbed hold of their second victory of the NSSAA season with a 39-25 win at Valley Heights. Emily Brooks and Mandy Mahler led the way for Delhi, who held the Bears to just a pair of points until late in the first half. Delhi improved to 2-1 on the season with the win, while Valley Heights fell to 1-2.
On the othe side of the county, The Simcoe Sabres stayed undefeated with a 39-17 win over the Waterford Wolves. Sarah Allemang had seven points for Simcoe, and teammates Stephanie Potts, Jade Ebdon and Amber Deleebeeck all had six. Waterford's Stephanie Ionita led all scorers with nine.
The scheduled game between Holy Trinity and Port Dover was canceled. No word yet on when the contest will be replayed.
Delhi will face off with Simcoe next Thursday while the Bears host Holy Trinity (2-0). Waterford (0-3) will host Port Dover (0-2).
