Two Former WCSSAA Stars Battle in NCAA Contest

For possibly the first time ever, two WCSSAA players were on the floor on Saturday afternoon during the same game in an NCAA contest.

The game was an exhibition tilt between the University of Central Arkansas (NCAA D1) and NCAA D2 school Southwest Oklahoma State University.

As for the players - Imad Qahwash (GRCI '06) is a senior guard for UCA, while former Bluevale ('09) star Aleksa Rovic is a sophomore G/F for SWOSU.

The game itself saw SWOSU pull out a bit of a surprise victory, 70-60 over the homecourt Bears. 

Rovic saw 2 minutes of action in the win, missing his only shot from the floor and grabbing an offensive rebound.

Qahwash saw 34 minutes of court time (before fouling out), leading UCA in scoring with 15 points.  He shot 4-for-8 from the floor, including 2-for-3 from three-point land (and 5-for-7 from the line).  He also brought down 7 rebounds, had 2 assists and 2 steals.
