WCSSAA Junior: Top Seeds Advance to Quarterfinals

Again, more details to come tomorrow but the top seeds all advanced through in today's WCSSAA junior playoff action.

#5 Elmira defeated #12 Glenview Park 53-20; #6 Cameron Heights grinded out a 26-18 win over #11 WCI; #7 Grand River held off #10 KCI 42-37; and #8 Southwood beat #9 SJAM 39-30.

Thursday's quarterfinals will have #1 Bluevale host #8 Southwood; #2 Jacob Hespeler battle #7 Grand River; #3 Preston take on #6 Cameron Heights; and #4 Waterloo-Oxford battle #5 Elmira.

Interestingly enough, 5 of the 8 quarterfinalists are "AAA" schools.  From an AAAA qualification perspective, Bluevale and Cameron Heights will be the CWOSSA junior reps in that division unless Grand River can beat JHSS on Thursday (coupled with either a Bluevale or Cameron loss).
