Two CWOSSA grads, Jaime Janssen (CWDHS - pictured top right) and Alex Van Dyk (Brantford Assumption) are playing for George Brown College in Toronto this coming OCAA season.
The Huskies had their preseason opener the other day, dropping a 71-46 decision to Oakville's Sheridan College. George Brown led 16-15 after the opening quarter, but were outscored 56-30 the rest of the way.However, first year players Janssen (6'1" F) and Van Dyk (5'5" G) were both singled out by assistant coach Elaine Ticzon in her post-game comments.
"(We) saw glimpses of good play from new players Jaime Janssen, Alex VanDyk and Kiana Kalnins," Ticzon said in the George Brown Athletics release.
