The leading scorer in the D10 junior girls' league, Rainey Psenicka of Lourdes, had a big-time outing on Tuesday afternoon to help her Crusaders maintain a share of first place with the Bishop Mac Celtics.
In fact, Psenicka knocked home 38 points, which is the most I've seen scored in the D10 junior circuit since 2006 (when national team member and current Notre Dame Fighting Irish forward Natalie Achonwa scored 41 for Centennial in a playoff win). The Crusaders posted a 61-44 win.
Natasha Martinez added 9 for Lourdes, while Ali Darling had 17 and Heather Anderson 6 to lead the way for Ross.
Other junior D10 scores from Tuesday were:
Guelph CVI 36, Centennial 31
GCVI: Abbey MacIntyre 10
