D8 Junior: Celtics Upset Saints, Knocking Them From Top Spot

The St. David Celtics upset the St. Benedict Saints in Cambridge on Monday night, shaking up things at the top of the D8 junior standings.

The beneficiary?  The Resurrection Phoenix, who now finish in first place overall (9-1).  St. Benedict will place second in the league's upper tier (8-2), and will still have a first-round bye.

Megan Goar (14) and Ciarra Dunne (7) led St. David's 30-26 win over the Saints, who were led again by Afifa Salaad's 14-point effort.

Playoffs
Both Resurrection (A1) and St. Benedict (A2) will receive first round byes. 

St. David (A3) will host Monsignor Doyle (B2) in one QF game on Monday, while St. Mary's (A4) will host Woodland (B1) in the other.

Resurrection will play the St. Mary's - Woodland winner, while St. Benedict will take on either St. David or Monsignor Doyle in the other semifinal next Wednesday.
