D10 Tuesday: Falcons Continue to Soar in League Play

The Centre Wellington Falcons continued to stay by themselves in first place (5-0) after getting past the St. James Lions 52-44 on Tuesday.

No other surprises in the other two games (GCVI over ODSS; BMAC over CCVI).  The Lourdes/JF Ross game was postponed and rescheduled for October 31st.

Here's the rundown:

Sierra Strongman had 11 and Jamie Young 10 as the Gaels topped the Bears, despite another strong effort (18 points) from ODSS' Claire Fenton.  Evelyn Burgess had 9 more for Orangeville.

CWDHS 52, St. James 44
My Pick:  CWDHS
Jaime Janssen had another massive effort, putting in a D10 regular-season high 27 points in the win.  Erica McFadden added 15, while the Lions received 16 from Erica Zen and 10 from Jade McGarr.

Bishop Mac 50, Centennial 16
My Pick:  BMAC
No trouble for the Celtics as they keep pace at the top of the standings heap.  Rebecca Morris led the way with 18, while Sandra Clark added 8 for BMAC; the Spartans received 8 from Hannah Ferguson and 3 each from Kendra Achonwa and Chloe Runge.
