Just to update you on the D5 side of things, the North Park Trojans defeated the Assumption Lions by double-figures on Thursday to secure the season series win between the two teams.
The win moves North Park to 5-1 in league play, while Assumption drops to 4-2. St. John's also currently has a 5-1 mark, but North Park did win the first meeting (45-40), so are technically in first place at the moment.
Now, assuming all "goes to form" with games against Brantford CI, Paris and Pauline Johnson for the above clubs, St. John's can take first place overall with wins against ACS & NPC.
The Trojans would solidify first by beating St. John's, or getting some help from the Lions when they play their second league game against St. John's. If Assumption is able to beat St. John's, then NPC could afford a 4-point or less loss to the Eagles and still take first.
