WCSSAA Wednesday: Mark's Picks

YTD WCSSAA Picks:  34-8 (.810)

We're back after a "mini-hiatus" from league play, although GRCI & ECI did get a rescheduled game in on Tuesday.  Most of the other clubs haven't had a game in a week's time, so we'll see if that affects things today with these games:

Grand River (1-5) at Bluevale (6-0)
My Pick:  BCI
The tough schedule for Grand River continues with a road trip up the Conestoga Expressway to battle Bluevale.  Knights should get their 7th win here.

WCI (6-0) at SJAM (1-5)
My Pick:  WCI
The Vikings will officially clinch a playoff spot (was there any doubt?) by winning this battle, er, I mean, "spirit" of Waterloo game.

Galt (2-4) at Jacob Hespeler (5-1)
My Pick:  JHSS
The Hawks are on a roll, and I don't think the Galt Ghosts will stop them today.

Forest Heights (4-2) at Cameron Heights (5-1)
My Pick:  CHCI
I'll go with the homecourt Gaels, who owe me one after last Thursday.  They'll need to keep Blair McNaughton in check, though, to pull this one out.

Preston (5-1) at KCI (1-5)
My Pick:  PHS
The Panthers will need a win to keep pace with their AAA counterparts (JHSS, EDSS, etc.) and I think they'll do so today.

Huron Heights (0-6) at Glenview Park (1-5)
My Pick:  GPSS
I actually had HHHS picked here but switched it.  So let's hope my initial "gut instinct" isn't correct.

Elmira (4-2) at Southwood (3-3)
My Pick:  EDSS
Should be tight, as this is a vital game for Southwood to win to avoid falling 2+ games back of the other "AAA" schools (Preston, EDSS, JHSS) in the battle for the 3 CWOSSA berths.  I'll say Elmira wins by single digits but look for the Sabres to leave it all out on the floor.

Bye Win:  Eastwood (improve to 5-2)
