D4: Wednesday Results & Standings

Special shoutout to the Erin DHS Raiders, who picked up their first win of the senior season with a nailbiting 26-25 win over Woodland CHS (with Pier Zuk having an outstanding effort with 19 of those 26 points).  However, as you'll see by the results below, it wasn't the only game that came down to the wire:

Senior

Erin DHS 26, Woodland 25
As mentioned above, Pier Zuk pumped home 19 points as the Raiders got their first win of the 2011 campaign.  Holly Kaitting added 5 for Erin, while Woodland received a double-digit effort from Kristin Reitsia (10) and 9 more from Rebekah Castanot.

Westside 59, Centre Dufferin 20
The Thunder continue to roll through the D4 schedule, thanks to three players in double figures --- Braedyn Ferguson (19), Sam Mikylik (14) and Ivana Juric (10).  For CDDHS, Rachel Krushnisky was held in check, registering only 7 points; Becca March and Gen Potovszky had 5 each.

It looks as though the Thunder are by far the clear favourite to take the D4 title, as this was a battle between unbeaten teams heading in.

Wellington Hts 42, Norwell 41
Big rivalry game goes to the Wolverines on Wednesday.  Becky Harper (16) topped all scorers to lead WHSS, with Jaime Reeves and Mikayla Pletsch adding 8 apiece.  Karlee Duggan topped Norwell with 13.
