My top three ranked teams in CWOSSA will be on the road this weekend, with WCI, St. John's and Assumption all taking part in out of town tournaments.
More Hoops Tournament - Hamilton
The Vikes and Green Eagles will be in Hamilton for arguably one of the most competitive tournaments in the province, the annual affair organized by St. Thomas More.
WCI is in a pool with St. Edmund Campion (Brampton), Bishop Tonnos (Ancaster) and Oakville Holy Trinity, while St. John's will square off with Bill Crothers, Sarnia Northern and a very talented Hamilton St. Mary's team, arguably the best team in the province.
Pool games go today and Saturday, with pool winners advancing to Sunday's semifinals.
19th Annual Fanshawe Sr. Tournament
Fanshawe College in London is hosting their annual tournament this weekend, and the Assumption Lions will again be making an appearance.
The Lions will open up against London Oakridge (CWOSSA comparison: Oakridge lost 50-23 to WCI at the Purple & White Tournament earlier this year).
St. Mike's (Stratford) Senior Tournament
A 16-team affair down in Stratford as St. Mike's, Northwestern and Stratford Central co-host this bracket. CWOSSA teams involved include Kitchener Grand River, Fergus Centre Wellington and Kitchener St. Mary's.
Grand River opens up at 4:30 against Ancaster (@ St. Mike's), CWDHS plays Ingersoll (3:15pm, Stratford Central) and St. Mary's plays Medway/Arva (4:30pm, Northwestern). All teams play a second-round game later today, before the bracket concludes tomorrow.
