In Junior WCSSAA action on Thursday, the Galt Ghosts won a big game between two teams battling for a playoff berth as they took out Cambridge rivals Preston by a 37-30 final on the road.
Amy Cureton and Emma Buck netted 8 each for the Ghosts, while Claire Gagne had a game-high 10 for Preston, with Olivia Naylor adding 6.
The win moves Galt two games clear of Preston and Glenview Park (the two teams currently in non-playoff positions) with only three games to go.

Rachael Hamm had 10 and Megan Reid 7 for the Knights on Thursday as they held off the Crusaders on the road. Hannah Appleton had 13 and Payton Hofstetter 6 for W-O.
Elmira 35, Glenview Park 25
A bit closer than you might have anticipated, but Elmira gets the win nonetheless. Nicole Cressman led the way for EDSS with 14; Sydney Jones added 6. Emilie Lutz had 11 and Kristin Hall 6 for Glenview.
KCI 38, Jacob Hespeler 12
The Raiders rolled the Hawks at home, with their balanced attack keyed by Michaela Schlumberger (8) and Adrienne Bowra (6). Shianne Riggan had 4 for Hespeler.
SJAM 49, Cameron Heights 40
Big week for the Highlanders with two wins over teams that entered the respective games with higher records. Milica Koprivica had 14 and Perry Gasteiger 13 for SJAM, while Nina Farkic had a game-high 15 for Cameron.
WCI 45, Forest Heights 26
Dani Sauve had 16 and Isabella Kellerman 12 for the Vikes as they inched closer to clinching a first-round bye with a win on Thursday. Sam Spurling had 14 and Linna Liou 7 for FHCI.
