CWOSSABasketball.com Junior Power Rankings: Week 4

Not much shift at the top of this week's power rankings, as the Grand River Renegades stay at the top as they have all season.  Furthermore, the #2, #3 and #4 spots remain the same, although we do have some changes after that.

Here's this week's edition:

1.  Grand River CI Renegades / Kitchener
Last Week:  #1
The Rens have talent and depth, and have looked unstoppable in WCSSAA play.  I'd love to see a matchup between them and one of the Brantford schools mentioned below.

2.  North Park CVS Trojans / Brantford (AAA)
Last Week:  #2
No trouble for the Trojans this week in D5 play, as they continue to pace the standings in that league.

3.  St. John's College Green Eagles / Brantford
Last Week:  #3
The Green Eagles capped their week with an emphatic win over Assumption yesterday, who are no slouch themselves.

4.  Waterloo CI Vikings / Waterloo
Last Week:  #4
The Vikes posted double-digit wins over both SJAM & Bluevale this week, two teams that were at least HM-ranked in last week's power rankings.

5.  Guelph CVI Gaels / Guelph (AAA)
Last Week:  #8
The Gaels, who now hold down first place in the D10 standings by themselves, vault up to first place in D10 (and 5th in these rankings) after their road win over Bishop Mac.

6.  Elmira DSS Lancers / Elmira (AAA)
Last Week:  #7
The Lancers are tied for first in the WCSSAA standings with their lone loss being a single-digit road defeat to (#4) WCI.

7.  Bishop Macdonell HS Celtics / Guelph (AA)
Last Week:  #5
Not much separates the teams in the middle of this week's ranking; the Celtics drop two spots as a result of their loss to GCVI --- however, they are still a strong contender for the D10 title and the overwhelming favourite to win (another) CWOSSA "AA" crown.

8.  Assumption CS Lions / Brantford
Last Week:  #6
Despite being in third place in the D5 league, the Lions are certainly one of the stronger teams in the CWOSSA region.  Unfortunately for them, being in D5 means that they'd have to take out St. John's to advance through to (AAAA) CWOSSA.

9.  Kitchener CI Raiders / Kitchener (AAA)
Last Week:  #9

The Raiders' schedule hasn't been the most challenging in league play lately, but they've maintained their focus and currently sit in position to be able to (possibly) advance through to AAA CWOSSA.

10.  Resurrection CSS Phoenix / Kitchener
Last Week:  #10
In this past (short) week, the Phoenix had an easy time with PRDG to continue to remain perfect in the competitive D8 league.

Honourable Mentions
St. James / Guelph
Bluevale / Waterloo
Cameron Heights / Kitchener
St. Benedict / Cambridge
St. David / Waterloo
