D10: Thursday Picks

YTD:  21-4 (.840)

A bit of housekeeping before getting to today's match-ups as I need to tell you that in yesterday's game, JF Ross handled Centennial by a 53-26 margin, with Sydney Resch (23) and Teddi Taran (10) leading the way.  Kendra Achonwa had 8 and Hannah Newman 6 for the Spartans.

The win moved Ross to 5-2, while Centennial sits at 1-6.

And now, onto today's games:

Guelph CVI (2-5) at Bishop Mac (7-0)
My Pick:  BMAC by 26
After winning a huge game against Lourdes on Tuesday, the Celtics might be due for a bit of a let-down against the 6th place Gaels.  That said, they have too much talent on their bench to drop this one, especially at home.

Orangeville (0-7) at Centre Wellington (3-4)
My Pick:  CWDHS by 22
These teams combined for only 43 points in their first meeting, although that was the first day of the schedule so I'm sure some kinks have been worked out since then.  I expect a better performance from the Falcons today as they even up their record at .500.

JF Ross (5-2) at Lourdes (6-1)
My Pick:  OLOL by 7
Could go either way, really, but I'll give the edge to the homecourt Crusaders who defeated Ross by 10 in their earlier meeting.

Centennial (1-6) at St. James (4-3)
My Pick:  STJ by 24
Not sure of the status of Chelsey Gazzola, but the Lions should run to victory today regardless at home.
