The top four seeds in the D10 senior girls' league have now been sewn up, although the order is still TBD.
Here's how things went yesterday:
St. James 54, Orangeville 34
My Pick: STJ by 19
Brittany Gazzola had 22 and sister Chelsey added 9 as the Lions officially clinched a top-4 seed in the D10 standings (and home playoff game). Claire Fenton (11) and Sam French (7) led the way for the Bears.
Lourdes 52, Centennial 35
My Pick: OLOL by 24
Lourdes stayed in 2nd place by handling Centennial on Thursday, backed by 16 from Charlotte Case and 13 more by Hannah Pearsall. Kendra Achonwa had 15 and Chloe Runge 7 for the Spartans.
Bishop Mac 47, CWDHS 32
My Pick: BMAC by 18
Rebecca Morris netted 16 while Jessica Morris added 13 as the Celts continued their perfect season. Hailey Salvian was the lone Falcon in double-figures with 10, while Megan Fennell had 7.
JF Ross 39, Guelph CVI 28
The Royals kept their hold on third place thanks to three players in double figures (and scoring nearly all of their points) --- Sydney Resch (16), Steph Gordon (10) and Julia Robertson (10). Cally Strongman led GCVI with 11, while Hanna Chidwick and Clay Barley-Janzen had 6 each.
