WCSSAA Senior: ***Unofficial*** Results & Standings

KCI 53, Bluevale 41
My Pick: KCI
KCI clinches 2nd overall with the win (due to the +/- tiebreaks).  Kate McTavish had 19 and Olivia Nelle 12 for the Raiders in the win; Elissa Dent scored 12 and Shannnon Curran 9 for the Knights.

Cameron Heights 54, WODSS 31
My Pick:  CHCI
The Gaels nearly doubled their win total from the 2009 season, finishing at 11-1 (6-6 last year).  Liz McLellan poured in 19 for Cameron, with Siki Jez adding 12.  Shelby Hofstetter led the Crusaders with 8.  WODSS could have made the playoffs with a win here, but it was definitely a bit too much to ask against the talented Gaels.

Galt 62, Eastwood 43
My Pick:  GCI
In a battle for a first-round playoff bye, the Ghosts flew past ECI in this one.  Liz Phillips and Jessie Lund led a balanced GCI attack with 13 each, while (as usual) Michelle Hudyn topped ECI's scoring with 18; Caitlyn Schlegel added 12.

Southwood 40, FHCI 24
My Pick:  SSS
With a strong defensive effort, the Sabres finish at 7-5 on the season.  Emily Vandonk had 15 and Alex Palvetzian 12 in the win, while Blair McNaughton topped the Trojans with 17.

Preston 42, Grand River 37
My Pick:  GRCI
Perhaps I got a little caught up in the GRCI frenzy, as Preston takes the home win here.  Kirsten Leach had an excellent game for the Panthers with a season-high 22 points; teammate Nikea Worrell added 10.  Aileen MacLellan had 16 for GRCI, while Esther Peters added 9 more Renegade points.

Glenview Park 43, SJAM 42
My Pick:  SJAM
The Panthers finish their season on a winning note (see Record article below for more info) by nipping SJAM.  Marja Vandermeulen (12) and Emily McLean (11) posted double-digit Panther efforts, while Emily Temple led the Highlanders and all scorers with 16.

Elmira 58, Jacob Hespeler 35
My Pick: EDSS
The Lancers pound the Hawks to finish up the season at .500 --- and they're definitely not a team that you want to face in the first round of the playoffs.  Tammy Freeman (17) and Kaitie Martin (14) led the way in this one for EDSS; Sarah Guttin had 17 for the Hawks in the loss.

WCI:  Bye Win
